Drawings depicting the strength and importance of women worldwide by incorporating creative simile of  West African symbols called Adinkra.  The original symbols were created by the Ashanti people of Ghana and the Gyaman tribes of Cote d’Ivoire  These symbols are aphorisms, concise statements of a principle, the West African people use extensively in their textile and  pottery.
