From my sketch pad to your eyes! The 3rd in the Women of Character Series
THE MUSIC of LIFE SERIES
Mix-media collage art picturing the emotions awakened when listening to the music and lyrics of a powerful or popular song and the bigger picture of the impact the song has on self and social awareness. The artwork features geometric lines forming windows and pathways. In each window will be an image and in each pathway will be a word. The images and words are representations of emotions the music or lyrics evokes when listening to the song. I want to create six (6) boards in this series. Especially designed for posters of the Pop Art genre.
I expect this series to follow in the footstep of the Women of Character Series by offering Custom & Personalized Interpretive Artwork depicting yours (your loved one’s) favorite song.Below, the first in the series. I have chosen to illustrate the song We Are The Champions by Queen.
This type of art is very subjective and personal and requires your active participation as I will be asking you to describe to me the best, and worst, traits of the subject.
The CHARACTER PORTRAITS
INTERPRETIVE SYMBOL ART
are based on:
THE WOMEN OF CHARACTER SERIES Drawings depicting the strength and importance of women worldwide by incorporating creative simile of West African symbols called Adinkra. The original symbols were created by the Ashanti people of Ghana and the Gyaman tribes of Cote d’Ivoire These symbols are aphorisms, concise statements of a principle, the West African people use extensively in their textile and pottery.FOR YOUR PORTRAIT I will use symbols to portray them. I have done this using African tribal Symbols and with Astrology signs but can use any ethnic tribal symbols such as Celtic or American Indian, it will depend on the person.
